Barak is a Senior Advisor at Norwest, where he provides strategic guidance to portfolio companies in AI, product, and enterprise technology.

Barak is an AI executive and operator with deep experience building and scaling AI systems across global platforms and enterprise environments. He has led cross-functional product and engineering teams across Generative AI, large language models, cloud, and enterprise software, translating frontier AI capabilities into products used at scale. His work is grounded in strong technical judgment, system-level thinking, and a track record of using AI as a durable competitive advantage.

Most recently, Barak served as Chief AI Officer at General Motors. Previously, he was VP of AI at Cisco and spent over a decade at Google, where he led the Languages AI product organization and helped drive the first-ever commercial deployment of large language models. He also served as Chief Product and Technology Officer at Trax, a leader in computer vision AI for retail and commerce.

Barak works closely with founders, boards, and executive teams on AI strategy, product direction, and organizational readiness, and serves as an Operating Advisor to leading venture firms. He teaches AI Applications in the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education program.
