What inspires you about your work?

I’m most inspired by developing people and watching them grow into capabilities they may not have initially seen in themselves. Some of the most rewarding moments in my career have come from helping someone sharpen how they think, giving them the opportunity to take on something bigger, and then watching them succeed. Businesses ultimately improve when their people improve, so creating an environment where talented people can develop, challenge themselves, and perform at a higher level is a big part of what motivates me.

What’s a quality you value most in other people?

Thoughtfulness. I really value people who form their own perspective, develop an initial point of view or working strategy, and then have the confidence to bring that thinking to others and make it better through discussion. To me, thoughtfulness creates better decision-making, but it also leads to transparency and accountability. You don’t have to have the perfect answer—you should have put real thought into the problem and be willing to evolve your position as you learn more.

In a movie about your life, what songs would be on the soundtrack?

“Lose Yourself” by Eminem, “My Way” by Frank Sinatra, and “Do-Re-Mi” from The Sound of Music. “Lose Yourself” has always resonated with me because of its intensity, focus, and sense of making the most of an opportunity. “My Way” speaks to independence and owning the path you choose. And “Do-Re-Mi” is simply one of those songs that makes me happy—you really can’t be in a bad mood after listening to it.

Do you have a favorite quote?

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill

I love the idea behind this quote because it applies so well to being a go-to-market operator—and really to life in general. Success is never the end of the journey, and failure doesn’t define you. What matters is how you respond, what you learn, and whether you have the courage to keep improving and moving forward.
