João focuses on growth equity investments across the software sector. Prior to joining Norwest, João interned at Excolere Equity Partners and Ponte Partners, focusing on investments in education, human capital management, and software. He started his career at Google as a Financial Analyst, where he led long-range planning for the Cloud Security portfolio.

João holds a joint MBA and artificial intelligence degree from the Kellogg School of Management and the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and economics, where he competed as a varsity swimmer.
