Shawn focuses on growth equity investments across a wide range of technology sectors at Norwest, with an emphasis on software, IT and tech-enabled services, cybersecurity, and infrastructure.

Prior to joining Norwest, Shawn spent over a decade at Carlyle, where he led teams focused on making growth and buyout investments into software and tech-enabled services companies and launched Carlyle’s West Coast private equity office based in Menlo Park. At Carlyle, Shawn led and was actively involved with the firm’s investments in NEOGOV, Hexaware, Jagex, PK (fka ProKarma), and Cohesity/Veritas, among others. Before Carlyle, Shawn worked in Credit Suisse’s Tech, Media, and Telecom investment banking group based in New York City.

Shawn received an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and a BBA with honors from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
