Laura joined Norwest in 2010 and brings 25 years of venture capital experience to her role as Director, Platform Enablement & Marketing, where she focuses on post-investment support for portfolio companies.
Laura oversees the onboarding process and supports community-building efforts within Norwest’s online portfolio groups. As a member of the Portfolio Success team, she also contributes to strategic initiatives that help portfolio companies drive growth, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
Prior to Norwest, Laura was with Gold Hill Capital, an independent private equity firm providing debt and equity capital to rapid growth, venture-backed technology companies. Previously, she was with Lighthouse Capital Partners and SVB. Laura spent three years writing for Netflix in a freelance capacity.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in journalism from San Jose State University, a certificate in marketing management from De Anza College, and a certificate in human resources management from Cal State East Bay.

The most inspiring thing about my work (and the work of all of my colleagues at Norwest) is when it “clicks” for our CEOs and portfolio execs that Norwest is different. When they realize our team is all-in when it comes to every aspect of a portfolio company’s journey. It sounds cliché but I see it all the time. Genuine thanks – and often surprise – for the time and energy our team puts in to not only company building, but relationship building. It’s unique and makes me proud to be at Norwest!
